Well, everyone is confirmed for the 4th July party!
I just spent way too much money on decorations including a 7' statue of liberty!
Considering this is a 4th July party and all the guests are English gives irony a new meaning. Still I know I'll get ribbed about it all but we'll still have fun.
Is using Dubya as the pin the tail on the donkey unpatriotic?
Pray for good weather. |

The house sold! We've moved - to an even bigger house! Yet life is still in flux. I know I have to have faith that everything will work out. It will!
We're planning a 4th July BBQ - I hope the weather is fantastic. I haven't had a 'dinner' party for 12 people before. The last major party I had was when I turned 21 and the place got wrecked. Someone brought a WWII air raid siren and set it off in the back yard, the carpet got totalled with cigarette ash, wine etc. I recall a food fight (involving the neighbors) However, I'm older now and my friends are more sedate - we have kids - they can wreck the place!
Let's hope this summer is great! |

| House Selling 2 |
[Oct. 16th, 2007|01:56 pm] |
This whole process is getting me down. We had an open house - one couple came. We had a woman view the house twice - second time with her mother - they blab on and on about how beautiful it is, if I would consider selling the curtains with it etc etc then find out two days later (by me having to chase up the agents) that she isn't going to put in an offer because our road might be on a proposed bus route.
Whatever.
So, do I keep it on the market or take it off for a few months? We need to sell to relocate closer to my husband's job - the travelling is not good. |

What is it about selling a house that is just totally soul destroying? Having potential buyers come into your home and then still no offer. Feedback is the house is lovely, the upstairs is a good size...but the downstairs is 'far too small'.
I live here - it's an okay size for me. I have a lot of junk and it all fits. I have a daughter and all of her ten million toys fit.
It's time to move on - I'm ready to go - so where are the buyers???? |

A pot of brewed coffee. It reminds me of my grandmother's kitchen where there used to be a lot of cooking going on. |
